Elanor F. Williams

I am interested in what I call person-centered decision making. Fundamentally, my research is aimed at understanding how people come to know themselves and others, and how this knowledge affects their behavior and decisions.

In my exploration of these questions, my research has examined a variety of topics, including differences in assessments of self and others, how our intentions for the future can influence our decisions and judgments in the present, the effect of physical states and emotions on memory and behavior, and the ways subjective experience can differ from objective reality.

If you have questions about me or my research, please don’t hesitate to explore this site or contact me directly.
